HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD on Broadway announces new casting
New casting has been announced for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway, running at the Lyric Theatre (214 West 43rd Street, NYC).
Steve Haggard is now playing the role of Harry Potter, with Angela Reed rejoining the Broadway company on 3 May in the role of Ginny Potter. Haggard made his Broadway debut in 2019 as part of the year two company of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, whilst Reed was a member of the original Broadway cast and she created the role of Ginny in the original San Francisco company.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the first Harry Potter story to be presented on stage, has sold over 4.5 million tickets worldwide and holds a record 60 major honors, with nine Laurence Olivier Awards including Best New Play and six Tony Awards including Best New Play.
Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a play by Jack Thorne, directed by John Tiffany.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child features movement by Steven Hoggett, set design by Christine Jones, costumes by Katrina Lindsay, music & arrangements by Imogen Heap, lighting by Neil Austin, sound by Gareth Fry, illusions & magic by Jamie Harrison, and musical supervision & arrangements by Martin Lowe.
Further tickets have been released today for all performances until 15 January 2023.
