HAMILTON star Giles Terera takes to Chichester Festival Theatre’s stage

Giles Terera

After welcoming Olivier-Award winners Patricia Routledge and Imelda Staunton, Chichester Festival Theatre’s ‘Facing the Music’ series is delighted to introduce their next guest, Giles Terera, on 10 March.

Fans of the original London cast of Hamilton will recognise Terera from his 2018 Olivier Award-winning performance of Aaron Burr. His musical credits include Avenue Q, The Book of Mormon, The Rat Pack, Jailhouse Rock, 125th Street and Rent in the West End, as well as Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Candide and Honk! at the National Theatre.

Giles Terera will join writer and broadcaster Edward Seckerson for a special evening show, illustrated by treasured recordings, when they will discuss his life in musical theatre, songwriting and future projects.

Along with an upcoming book release based on his journals from his time in Hamilton and musical show Five Beautiful Things, Terera will lead his debut play at the Bristol Old Vic. Based on the notorious massacre aboard the slave ship Zong in 1781, The Meaning of Zong will be available online from 21 March and is featured in the BBC Lights Up's programme.

An Evening with Giles Terera will stream live on Wednesday 10 March at 7pm GMT.
