Ground-breaking circus production THIS TIME heads back out on tour

This Time

Any fans of Ockham’s Razor out there? If so, we’ve got just the news for you: their ground-breaking production of This Time will tour throughout June and July, produced by Turtle Key Arts.

Known for their daring and innovative use of circus equipment, Ockham’s Razor continue to push the boundaries of aerial acrobatics, and This Time is no exception. The piece will feature a 360-degree rotating frame, spinning harness cradle and a cloud/trapeze hybrid for four performers as they lift, push and cradle each other over thresholds and ledges, bodies are suspended high in the air and swung close to the ground.

Blending together circus elements, autobiographical storytelling and original equipment, This Time will explore life’s pivotal moments and how they shape us, physically and mentally. Love, frustration, care, the need for support as we strive for independence. The piece highlights the dynamics between generations, families and everyone’s internal struggles and features a cast ranging from 13 to 60 years old.

The creative team behind Ockham’s Razor’s latest offering assembles a wealth of creative talent including composer Max Reinhardt who was the musical director of Oily Cart for many years,  designer Tina Bicat who won The Critics’ Theatre Award for her work with Punchdrunk, and lighting designer Phil Supple who recently designed the lighting for the WWl 100th Anniversary celebrations at The Tower of London.

This Time is set to visit York Theatre Royal, artsdepot London, Lighthouse Poole, Corn Exchange Newbury and Worthing Theatres, with tickets available at the individual venue websites.
