Josh Groban and Annaleigh Ashford to star in Broadway revival of SWEENEY TODD

It has been officially announced that Josh Groban and Annaleigh Ashford will star in a new Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre from 26 February 2023.

Directed by Thomas Kail, multi-platinum recording artist Groban (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812) will play the title role, alongside Ashford (Sunday in the Park with George) as Mrs Lovett, with additional casting to be announced in the coming weeks.

Jonathan Tunick's full 26-piece orchestration will be heard for the first time on Broadway since the original production, with musical supervision by Alex Lacamoire. 

The production features choreography by Steven Hoggett, set design by Mimi Lien, costumes by Emilio Sosa, lighting by Natasha Katz, sound by Nevin Steinberg, and casting by The Telsey Office.
