Golden Globe 2022 nominations revealed

The Golden Globes 2022 nominations have been revealed today to include a number of musicals and theatre stars.

Billy Porter has been nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series, Drama for his role in Pose, whilst Cynthia Erivo has been nominated for Best Performance by an Actress, Limited Series, Anthology Series or a Motion Picture made for Television for Genius: Aretha.

West Side Story has been acknowledged in several categories including Best Picture, Musical or Comedy; Stephen Spielberg for Best Director, Motion Picture; Rachel Zegler for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy; and Ariana DeBose for Best Supporting Actress, Motion Picture.

Also nominated for the Best Picture, Musical or Comedy award is Netflix’s recent musical release Tick, Tick…Boom, along with Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy for Andrew Garfield (a category which also features Anthony Ramos from In The Heights).
