Giles Terera to release a book about hit musical Hamilton in Summer 2021

Ever wondered what it’s really like working on a multi-award-winning musical? Now you can as news has it, Giles Terera is releasing a book Hamilton and Me: An Actor’s Journal next Summer.

The book is a personal inside account of the London production, written by the actor who bagged an Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his performance in Hamilton as Aaron Burr.

Terera’s book is drawn from a journal he kept throughout a period of preparation, rehearsal and performance. Readers will enjoy the honest, intimate and thrilling look behind what it takes to put on such a musical, with such a big reputation.

Hamilton and Me: An Actor’s Journal will took at the triumphs, breakthroughs and doubts, the camaraderie of the rehearsal room and moments of quiet backstage contemplation. The book shines a light on the fascinating, in-depth exploration of the now-iconic songs in theatre and moments from the world-famous musical, as seen from those experiencing it from the inside. It also contains dozens of colour photographs that help illustrate Terera’s journey with Hamilton. Readers will also be delighted to know that the book features a foreword by Hamilton creator and original sta,r Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Publishing the book is Nick Hern Books and Hamilton and Me will be available in hardback, ebook and audiobook in Summer 2021, in all territories outside of North America.
