Further details announced for ALADDIN at Theatre Royal Winchester

Further details have been announced for Theatre Royal Winchester’s family pantomime, Aladdin, which runs from 4 December 2021-2 January 2022.

The pantomime is once again written/directed by James Barry, with composition by Simon Slater; a partnership whom were nominated for their original musical score for Beauty and the Beast in the Great British Pantomime Award’s Musical Achievement Award. James Barry was also nominated for Best Script in the Great British Pantomime Awards for his script of Dick Whittington.

Julian Eardley will return as Widow Twankey marking his 12th year as Winchester’s Dame, his comic sidekick Ed Thorpe will play Wishee Washee; and Libby Gore returns in the title role of Aladdin.

Joining these panto favourites will be Ben Tolley as Abanazar; Michaela Bennetts-Higgins as Spirit of the Ring; Rikki Chamberlain as the Genie and Policeman; and Rosie Coles as Princess Jasmine. The production will also feature a support cast of local young performers.
