Further casting announced for West End transfer of THE DEEP BLUE SEA
Further casting has been announced for the West End transfer of the Theatre Royal Bath Productions’ The Deep Blue Sea, which plays at Theatre Royal Haymarket from 7 May-21 June.
Hadley Fraser (Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera) and Selina Cadell (Doc Martin, As Time Goes By) will join original cast members Tamsin Greig, Nicholas Farrell and Finbar Lynch, with Marc Elliott, Preston Nyman and Lisa Ambalavanar, in this powerful drama of passion versus loyalty and the destructive power of love.
When you’re stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea, the deep blue sea can sometimes look very inviting. Hester Coller, the daughter of a clergyman and wife of a judge, is floundering in the closing stages of a hopeless affair. Freddie Page, her lover, a handsome but shallow ex-Battle of Britain pilot, is out of his depth in their relationship, overwhelmed by the strength of an emotion he is incapable of reciprocating…
The creative team includes director Lindsay Posner, set and costume designer Peter McKintosh, lighting designer Paul Pyant, sound designer Gregory Clarke, composer Will Stuart, and casting director Ginny Schiller.
