Full casting revealed for world premiere of THE BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL UK tour

Full casting has been announced for Deborah Moggach’s The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel UK tour, which opens at Richmond Theatre on 5 September.

Joining the previously announced celebrated stars of stage and screen, Hayley Mills (Pollyanna, The Parent Trap) who stars as Evelyn, Paul Nicholas (Jesus Christ Superstar, Eastenders) who plays Douglas and Rula Lenska (Coronation Street, Channel 4’s Celebrity Big Brother) who performs as Madge in this feel-good tale of love and adventure, today’s announcement confirms casting through to 11 February 2023.

Tiran Aakel  (The Kite Runner, UK and Dubai Tour) will perform as Mr Gupta, with Richenda Carey (Calendar Girls, West End/UK Tour) as Dorothy, Rekha John-Cheriyan as Mrs Kapoor (Kerbs, Tomb Raider), Andy de la Tour (Plenty, Notting Hill) as Norman, Shila Iqbal (East Is East, Octagon Theatre); as Sahani, Kerena Jagpal (Mismatch and Twitch, Birmingham Rep) as Kamila, Harmage Singh Kalirai (Mischief Night) as Jimmy, Sally Knyvette (ITV’s Emmerdale) as Jean, Nishad More (King Lear, RSC) as Sonny Kapoor, Marlene Sidaway (ITV’s Coronation Street) as Muriel; Anant Varman (who makes his professional UK stage debut) as Mohan, and Adam Morris (Dial M for Murder, UK tour) and Julie Wood (Brave New World, Harrogate Theatre) who join the company as male and female understudies.

The production is directed by Lucy Bailey, with costumes and set design Colin Richmond, lighting by Oli Fenwick, sound by Mic Pool, composition by Kuljit Bhamra, casting by Ginny Schiller CDG, and movement direction by Lucy Hind.
