Joining the previously announced Emma Corrin (The Crown, Netflix; Anna X, West End) in the title role will be Deborah Findlay (Allelujah!, Bridge Theatre) as Mrs Grimsditch, Jessica Alade (Hamlet, National Theatre) as Virginia/Drunken Tory, Debra Baker (SAD, Omnibus Theatre, Clapham) as Virginia/Favilla/The Captain, Akuc Bol (The Mini Dream, Encourage the Others; Almeida Theatre) as Virginia/Euphrosyne/Prue, Lucy Briers (All of Us, National Theatre) as Virginia/Queen Elizabeth/Officer, Richard Cant (Handbagged, Wife, Kiln Theatre) as Virginia/Harriet/Kitty, Melissa Lowe (A Billion Times I Love You, Liverpool Everyman Theatre) as Virginia/Drunken Tory, Jodie McNee (Adult Children, Donmar Warehouse) as Virginia/Marmaduke, Oliver Wickham (Macbeth, Queen’s Theatre) as Virginia/Clorinda, and Millicent Wong (Henry V, Donmar Warehouse) as Virginia/Sasha/Nell.

Orlando tells a story like no other. Born in the reign of Elizabeth 1st, its hero-heroine journeys through five centuries and a myriad of encounters in search of the answer to just one question; how do any of us find the courage to truly be ourselves?

From the novel by Virginia Woolf in a new version by Neil Bartlett, this new production is directed by Michael Grandage, with set and costume design by Peter McKintosh, lighting by Howard Hudson, composition and sound by Alex Baranowski, movement direction by Ben Wright, and casting by Jacob Sparrow.
