Full casting announced for the UK & Ireland tour of SCHOOL OF ROCK

Full casting has been announced for the UK & Ireland touring company of School of Rock.

Starring as Dewey Finn - a role made famous in the film by Jack Black - will be Jake Sharp, with Alex Tomkins playing the role at select performances.

Rebecca Lock will play headmistress Rosalie Mullins, alongside Matthew Rowland as Ned Schneebly and Nadia Violet Johnson as Patty Di Marco.

Completing the adult cast will be Ryan Bearpark, James Bisp, Joanna O’Hare, Samuel Haughton, Tom Hext, Harveen Mann, Richard Morse, Annell Odartey, Amy Oxley, Helena Pipe, Michaela Powell, Richard Vorster and Craig Watson.

There will be three teams of twelve children who will rotate for each performance:

Freddy will be played by Isaac Forward, Thomas Harvey, Eva McGrath, and Emerson Sutton; Katie will be played by Marikit Akiwumi, Ivy Balcombe, Daisy Hanna, and Chloe Marler; Lawrence will be played by Oliver Forde, David Gluhovsky, Angus McDougall, and Oliver Pearce; Zack will be played by Harry Churchill, William Laborde, Joseph Sheppard, and Hanley Webb; Billy will be played by Wilf Cooper, Logan Matthews and Alfie Morwood; and Summer will be played by Keira Laver, Saffia Layla, and Florrie May Wilkinson.

Tomika will be played by Jasmine Djazel, Angel Lucero, and Souparnika Nair; James will be played by Darmani Eboji, Devon Francis, Riotafari Gardner, and Hadlee Snow; Marcy will be played by Paris Banyong, Lily Rose Martin, and Elodie Salmon; Mason will be played by Nesim Adnan, Alex Shotton, and Caelan Wallington; Shonelle will be played by Eden Anthony, Elisha Kerai, and Kyla Robinson; and Sophie will be played by Inez Danielak, Ava Masters, Jemima Newman, and Ophelia Parsons.

The musical features 14 new songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber and Glenn Slater plus all of the original songs from the film, and a book by Julian Fellowes.

The tour opens in Hull on 7 September, before visiting Wolverhampton, Woking, Sunderland, Southend, Stoke, Bradford, Northampton, Belfast, Nottingham, Lladudno, Torquay, Oxford, Manchester, Crawley, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Aberdeen, Ipswich, Glasgow, Norwich, Wimbledon, Newcastle, Leeds, Eastbourne, Canterbury, Plymouth, Bristol, Cardiff, Dartford, Leicester, Dublin, Liverpool, Southampton, Sheffield and Bournemouth.
