Full casting announced for Terry Johnson’s THE SEX PARTY at Menier Chocolate Factory

Full casting has been announced for the world première of Terry Johnson’s The Sex Party at the Menier Chocolate Factory, which runs from 4 November 2022-7 January 2023.

Directed by Terry Johnson, the cast includes Will Barton (The Last Temptation of Boris Johnson, Park Theatre and Edinburgh Fringe) as Tim, Amanda Donohoe (Star Quality, UK tour) as Magdalena, Lisa Dwan (Happy Days, Riverside Studios) as Gilly, John Hopkins (The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13 ¾ - The Musical, Menier) as Jake, Timothy Hutton (Ordinary People) as Jeff, Jason Merrells (How The Other Half Loves, Theatre Royal Haymarket) as Alex, Pooya Mohseni (English, Atlantic Theater Company) as Lucy, Molly Osborne (Fiddler on the Roof, Menier and West End) as Hetty and Kelly Price (A Little Night Music, Menier and West End) as Camilla. 

Four couples gather in a suburban London home for an evening of wine, cheese, and more intimate pleasures. Some are curious, some are more familiar, and one is rather unexpected. Thus a promising evening is poised to go beyond anyone’s expectations. 

The world première of this play by Terry Johnson similarly promises to surprise, perhaps shock, and most certainly entertain!

The production is designed by Tim Shortall, with lighting by Ben Ormerod, and sound by John Leonard.
