Full casting announced for summer season at Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre

Chester’s Grosvenor Park has announced casting for its three outdoor productions this summer: The Jungle Book, The Merry Wives of Windsor and Pride and Prejudice, with actors performing across all three shows.

Adapted by Glyn Maxwell, The Jungle Book is directed by Gitika Buttoo, with music by Tom Penn, choreography by Grace Goulding and design by Jessica Curtis. It will feature Suzanne Ahment as Kaa and Liam the Vulture, Victoria Brazier as Seano and Noel the Vulture, Howard Chadwick as Baloo, Jessica Dives as Ringo the Vulture, Darren Kuppan as Bagheera, Perry Moore as Shere Khan and Paul the Vulture, Jenny Murphy as Hearno and Announcer and Purvi Parmar as Mowgli.

The Merry Wives of Windsor will be directed by John Young, with music by Jessica Dives, design by Jessica Curtis and choreography by Alison Hughes. Suzanne Ahmet will play Mistress Page, Victoria Brazier will play Mistress Ford, Howard Chadwick will play Falstaff, Jessica Dives will play Mistress Quickly and Anne Page, Darren Kuppan will play Master Ford, Perry Moore will play Master Page, Jenny Murphy will play Master Fenton and Sir Hugh and Purvi Parmar will play Slender.

Pride and Prejudice has been adapted by Deborah McAndrew and will be directed by Conrad Nelson, designed by Jessica Curtis and choreographed by Beverly Edmunds. The show will feature Suzanne Ahment as Elizabeth Bennet, Victoria Brazier as Mrs Bennet, Howard Chadwick as Mr Bennet, Jessica Dives as Jane Bennet, Darren Kuppan as Mr Wickham, Perry Moore as Mr Darcy, Jenny Murphy as Lydia Bennet and Purvi Parmar as Charlotte Collins.

The venue opens from 29 May 2021 to socially distanced audiences and the three productions will run until the end of August.
