Full casting announced for SILENCE! THE MUSICAL at Edinburgh Fringe and Turbine Theatre

SILENCE! The Musical, the notorious unauthorised parody of the Academy Award-winning film The Silence of The Lambs, is bringing its singing serial killers, tap-dancing lambs, and gleefully unstoppable bad taste to the Edinburgh Fringe this summer, followed by a run at The Turbine Theatre from 4-28 September.

As rookie FBI agent Clarice Starling matches wits with the brilliant but insane Dr. Hannibal Lecter in an intense serial killer chase, the most horrific of subjects are paired with a chorus of singing lambs narrating the action and breaking out into cheerful show tunes with unprintable song titles.

Originally premiering in 2005 off-Broadway, SILENCE! combines whip-smart dialogue, shocking songs, and over-the-top performances in a parody that’s popular with seasoned fans of the film and FBI rookies alike. Spinning the horror genre to include the absurd, SILENCE! The Musical will have audiences laughing in the face of danger.

With an on-stage ensemble of ten, the cast includes Mark Oxtoby (Guys and Dolls) as Lecter, Phoebe Panaretos (Zorro) as Clarice, Tom Giles (The Lord of the Rings) as Pembry, Jake Anthony (Cabaret Le Cirque) as Buffalo Bill, Matt Bond (Making A Murderer: A Musical) as Chilton, Paul Ryan (A Christmas Carol) as Crawford, Sebastian Goffin (Carousel) as Dream Hannibal, Jenay Naima (The Bodyguard) as Arelia, Catherine Millsom (Kinky Boots) as Catherine, and Nathalie Marrable (My Fair Lady) as Dream Clarice.

SILENCE! comes to Edinburgh Fringe and the Turbine Theatre with some of the original creators behind it, including the outstanding director-choreographer Christopher Gattelli and designer Scott Pask, both Tony award-winning.
