Full cast announced for MEDEA at @sohoplace

Full casting has been announced for Medea, which runs at @sohoplace from 17 February-22 April. 

Joining the previously reported Sophie Okonedo as Medea and Ben Daniels as Jason/Creon/Aegeus will be Marion Bailey (Handbagged, Kiln Theatre/West End) as Nurse, Penny Layden (The Ocean at the End of the Lane, National Theatre) as 3rd Women of Corinth, Jo McInnes (4.48 Psychosis, Royal Court) as 1st Women of Corinth and Amy Trigg (Reasons You Should(n't) Love Me, Kiln Theatre/Tour) as 2nd Women of Corinth. The understudies are Alicia Charles, Leda Hodgson, and Tom Peters. 

What could turn a woman from a lover into a destroyer of love?

MEDEA tells the story of a woman laid bare by grief and rage, and her terrible quest for revenge against the men who have abandoned her.

The production sees direction by Dominic Cooke, with design by Vicki Mortimer, lighting by Neil Austin, sound by Gareth Fry, and casting by Amy Ball.
