Full cast announced for BEAUTY AND THE BEAST at Mercury Theatre

The Mercury Theatre in Colchester have announced full casting for their Christmas pantomime, Beauty and the Beast, which runs from 26 November 2022-15 January 2023.

The cast will include Alexandra Barredo (Romeo and Juliet, Chelmsford Civic Theatre) as Belle, Daniel Jagusz-Holley (The Kingdom Tenors, Britain’s Got Talent) as Prince Friedrich/Beast, Sasha Latoya (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, UK tour) as L’Amour/Cupid, Jaimie Pruden (Little Miss Sunshine, UK tour) as Spite, Shelby Speed (Here Comes Santa Claus, New Wimbledon Theatre Studio) as Hemlock, and Nick Brittain (Rapunzel, South Mill Arts/UK tour) as Toadstool, alongside previously announced panto royalty Antony Stuart-Hicks as Betty Bon Bon and Dale Superville as Almonde.

Written by Andrew Pollard and directed by Olivier award winning Donnacadh O’Briain, the tale as old as time is a panto classic unmissable for all the family, and with magic consultancy by Michael J. Fitch, it’s guaranteed to add that sparkle to everyone’s Christmas season. 

The production is designed by Jasmine Swan, with lighting by Ben Ormerod, sound by Beth Duke, musical direction by Paul Herbert, choreography by Simon Hardwick, and casting by Jenkins McShane Casting CDG.
