Frozen Light present 2065: THE MULTI-SENSORY MOVIE for audiences with profound and multiple learning disabilities
Co-commissioned by Northern Stage and Attenborough Arts Centre, and supported by Arts Council England, 2065: The Multi-Sensory Movie has been made for audiences with profound and multiple learning disabilities. It will be Frozen Light’s first digital production and aims to bring an innovative and engaging experience into the homes of those with PMLD. The movie will be accompanied by a box of sensory props, allowing audiences to explore the world of 2065 whilst watching from home.
Frozen Light are renowned for creating high-quality theatre for audiences with PMLD by combining live music, signing, poetry and multi-sensory moments, and 2065 has been created in collaboration with people with PMLD who, supported by carers, provided feedback.
2065: The Multi-Sensory Movie will be available from 29 March, with tickets available from 15 March, but best be quick getting your tickets Besties, as they’re strictly limited with only 200 sensory boxes available.
The artistic directors of the project are Amber Onat Gregory and Lucy Garland, who are also producing alongside Jacqui MacKay. Sam Halmarack directs the film itself, as well as taking on the roles of editor, musical director, composer and cameraman. Kate O’Connor is associate director, set and costume design is by Kat Heath and Kirsteen Wythe respectively, with sound, lighting and effects by Dhugal Harrison. The sensory boxes are designed by Kat Heath and props and lighting are by Dave Sherman. The cast includes Lil Davis, Rachel Barnes, Matt Heslop and Lucy Garland.
