A number of leading theatre figures will feature in new podcast interview series, “What I Love”, looking at the value of theatre.

Hosted by former Artistic Director of the Royal Court Ian Rickson, the interviews have been recorded on the empty stages of UK theatres and aim to highlight the importance of our industry in society.

Names confirmed to appear include Jessie Buckley, Sonia Friedman, Cush Jumbo and Ben Wishaw.

The podcast is executive produced by Robert Delamere for Storyglass. He said:  “Against the backdrop of an emergency for the industry, these intimate conversations remind us all of the power of the arts to forge a way through the crisis.”

Rickson added: “To step inside our empty theatres is a powerful experience. Sitting on stage with performers, writers and producers gives “What I Love” a poignant sense of what has been lost.”
