First full season announced for new Marylebone Theatre

The first season has been announced for London’s newest venue, the Marylebone Theatre, which includes a plethora of music and spoken word events along with a festive whodunnit from Off-Broadway.

Peter Oswald’s Dmitry will open the venue on 29 September, followed by a Ben Okri’s solo rendition of T.S Elliot’s The Waste Land.

As its festive production, the theatre will host Mark Shanahan’s A Sherlock Carol, running from 17 November 2022-7 January 2023. With this new venue sitting just a stone throw away from the famous 221B Baker Street, where better to host this New York Times Critic’s Pick? The show picks up many years after Ebenezer Scrooge let Christmas into his heart and when he suffers a mysterious and peculiar death, the now grown-up Tiny Tim enlists the help of Sherlock Holmes. The great detective has to overcome his own ghosts on Christmas Eve.

Other season highlights include performances by the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and Ensemble Pro Victoria.
