FIRST DATE THE MUSICAL to play at Old Joint Stock Theatre for limited run

Graphic design: Tom Mann of Ghostlight Studios

Broadway hit First Date the Musical is set to play at Birmingham’s Old Joint Stock Theatre from 7-25 August, following the tremendous success of last year's summer show, which garnered rave reviews and sold-out performances.

Blind date novice Aaron finds himself paired with the seasoned serial-dater Casey. What starts as a casual drink at a bustling New York restaurant quickly escalates into a side splittingly hilarious high-stakes dinner, filled with unexpected twists and comedic moments.

This marks the second in-house production at The Old Joint Stock Theatre in 2024, setting the stage for another year filled with extraordinary performances that you won't want to miss!

First Date The Musical will be brought to life by Theatre Manager James Edge, with associate direction by Emily Lloyd, and produced by the Old Joint Stock Theatre Company.

Director James Edge said: "We at The Old Joint Stock are thrilled to be producing another lesser known but undeniably gorgeous piece of musical theatre in our intimate fringe space. We are so excited to introduce the people of Birmingham and surrounding areas to this hilarious score and as a company we will continue to shine a spotlight on the hidden gems of musical theatre going forward."
