Filmed West End musicals to be broadcast on Virgin TV

A number of filmed West End shows will available to Virgin Media customers from 19-22 December at 2pm daily.

Beginning tomorrow afternoon, The Wind in the Willows (recorded at the London Palladium) will be broadcast, followed by Sally Cookson’s Hetty Feather on 20 December.

Kinky Boots will be shown on 21 December and the limited series will end with 42nd Street on 22 December.

Producer of The Wind in the Willows Jamie Hendry, who has collaborated with Virgin Media on the project, said: "I’m delighted that Virgin Media customers will get the chance to watch our wonderful production as well as three other fantastic West End shows this Christmas.

"It’s vital now, more than ever, for audiences to be able to experience the magic of theatre, some for the first time, at home."

The shows can be viewed on Virgin Media’s Ultra HD channel and will also be available on demand.
