Based on the best-selling novelist Kahlil Gibran’s (The Prophet) poetic book, Broken Wings has an original score by Nadim Naaman and Dana Al Fardan.

New York City, 1923. Through exquisite poetry and enchanting music, an ageing Gibran narrates our tale, transporting us back two decades and across continents, to turn-of-the-century Beirut. Gibran meets Selma; their connection is instant and their love affair, fated. However, their journey to happiness is soon thrown off course, as the pair face obstacles that shake the delicate foundation of their partnership. Will their love win out or will their dream of a life together be torn apart?

The cast includes Haroun Al Jeddal as Mansour Bey Galib, Lucca Chadwick-Patel as Young Kahlil Gibran, Soophia Foroughi as Mother, Johan Munir as Bishop Bulos, Nadim Naaman as Kahlil Gibran, Ayesha Patel as Dima Bawab, Stephen Rahman-Hughes as Faris, Noah Sinigaglia as Selma Karamy, Yasmeen Audi as Layla Bawab/Ensemble, and Alex Kais as Ensemble.

Broken Wings features musical direction by Erika Gundesen, with orchestrations by Joe Davidson, set and costume design by Gregor Donnelly, choreography by Philip Michael Thomas, lighting by Nic Farman, sound by Andrew Johnson, casting by Jane Deitch and direction by Bronagh Lagan.
