Film adaptation of Dear Evan Hansen sets release date

Universal has announced that the film adaptation of Dear Evan Hansen will be released in cinemas on 24 September.

Ben Platt reprises his performance from Pasek and Paul’s award-winning musical in the title role, alongside a star-studded cast including Amy Adams, Kaitlyn Dever, Julianne Moore and Amandla Stenberg.

The screenplay has been adapted by Steven Levenson, with direction by Stephen Chbosky (The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Wonder).
