When grime meets theatre! Innovative theatre collective, HighRise Theatre, will blend the genres for a one-night-only livestream of Dominic Garfield’s Lil.Miss.Lady on 23 October.

The acclaimed production is part rave, part drama. It is a bass-pounding immersive experience, which explores the history and music of the Grime sub-culture.

The work is inspired by interviews with influential women on the Grime scene including Lady Stush, Lioness and Queenie, with celebrated MC Lady Lykez starring in the show. The play focuses on their roles in a male dominated industry.

Lil.Miss.Lady was due to tour the UK after successful runs at The Roundhouse, Latitude Festival and HighTide Festival but in the current climate, has been revitalised as a digital piece.

Along with the play, there will also be pre and post-show DJ sets from DJ Kaylee Kay (Eskimo Dance, Rinse, 1Xtra) and special guests.

Director, Dominic Garfield, said: “This is gonna be so sick! An exclusive online preview of Lil.Miss.Lady and a live, immersive-history of grime set, custom built for your living rooms!

Lil.Miss.Lady is a ‘pay what you can afford’ event but has a suggested price of £10.
