It has been reported that Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’s original Jamie New, John McCrea, will be joining the cast of Disney’s Cruella.

The new live action film will explore the story of Cruella De Vil in 1970’s London in a new back story of the character made famous in Dodie Smith’s beloved 1956 book, A Hundred and One Dalmatians.

Whilst the exact details of McCrea’s character are unclear, it is believed that he will be starring as a character called Artie.

Oscar winner Emma Stone will play Cruella De Vil, starring alongside Emma Thompson, Joel Fry, Paul Walter Hauser, Emily Beecham, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Mark Strong.

Disney’s Cruella is due to be released in May 2021.
