Enter.Stage.Write franchise unveils diverse voices in British scriptwriting

The finalists for the Enter.Stage.Write and Amplified scriptwriting and Playwriting competitions have been revealed, marking a milestone in the nationwide search for outstanding playwriting and screenwriting talent in Britain. The six-month challenge concludes with a grand theatre production at Birmingham Hippodrome as part of the StoryTown conference. Over 300 applications were received for the Enter.Stage.Write competition, showcasing fierce competition for the coveted title. Featuring a talented cast of students and alumni from Birmingham Conservatoire under Danièle Sanderson's direction, one notable alumnus, Tom Hendryk, known for his role in Apple TV's Ted Lasso, is participating in the Enter.Stage.Write franchise.

Finalists Announced: A Glimpse into the Future of British Scriptwriting

Natalie Edward-Yesufu, founder and creative director of Enter.Stage.Write, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "Enter.Stage.Write is about platforming new writers and diverse voices. This nationwide talent hunt uses Birmingham as a conduit, championing regional diversity."

The Amplified segment prioritizes diverse voices and is Judged by Angela Ferreira, Television Executive and Diversity Ambassador at Kudous. Ferreira emphasized the importance of initiatives like Amplified, stating, "Programs like this celebrate diverse voices across the full spectrum of talent in our country, benefitting the entire TV and Film industry." Esteemed judges, including Chris Sudworth, Creative Director at Birmingham Hippodrome, and BAFTA-winning Producer Lisa Walters, will preside over the competitions. Previous champions

have reached new heights in their careers, securing representation and leading film projects. Sudworth expressed excitement about supporting Enter.Stage.Write, saying, "We are delighted to support Birmingham's award-nominated Transition Stage Company with their annual showcase of brilliant - and funny - new writing from across the UK."
