Handel’s Messiah will be shown on BBC Two over the Easter weekend in a specially created performance produced by English National Opera and the BBC.

Filmed at London Coliseum without an audience, the performance will be conducted by Laurence Cummings and feature eight soloists: Nardus Williams, Nadine Benjamin, Christine Rice, Iestyn Davies, Anthony Gregory, John Findon, Benson Wilson and William Thomas, alongside ENO’s chorus and orchestra.

This marks ENO’s second partnership with the BBC, following the broadcast of Mozart’s Requiem last year.
