Elaine Paige to preview new Gilly Cooper musical HARRIET on her radio show tomorrow

Harriet

Jilly Cooper’s new musical comedy Harriet will be previewed on Elaine Paige’s Radio 2 musicals show tomorrow (Sunday 21 February).

Catapulted from her ordinary suburban existence into a whirlwind romance, Harriet embarks on a journey that turns her world upside down and her heart inside out. This is a tale of broken promises, tough choices and everything in between: guitars and rock stars - sex, love and fame - whisky, best friends and dancing. Plus the girl next door and a horse called Python. It's the perfect antidote to these difficult times.

The show features a book by Donald Rice, music and lyrics by Eva Rice, with direction by Phillip Breen, musical direction and orchestrations by Toby Higgins and additional music by Pete Hobbs of indie pop duo, The Boy Least Likely To.

Harriet is currently being developed in collaboration with Royal & Derngate, Northampton.

EP will play ‘Mother’s Words’ on her radio show, as sung by West End star Alice Fearn (Come From Away, Wicked).
