Double Christmas delight at The Old Joint Stock with ZANNA DON’T! & SCROOGE IN ROUGE

The Old Joint Stock Theatre will present an exceptional Christmas season featuring two outstanding productions this year: the revival of hit show Zanna Don’t! and the UK premiere of Scrooge In Rouge.

Produced by James Edge, Liam Alexandru & Emily Susanne Lloyd, Zanna Don’t! will run from 4-15 December and features direction by Scott Le Crass, choreography by David Winters, associate direction by James Edge, and musical direction by Callum Thompson.

Step into Heartsville High, a unique world where everyone is gay—well, almost everyone.... In this topsy-turvy society, the chess champion reigns as the big man on campus, while the football star finds his cool factor by landing the lead in the school musical. The students stir up controversy with their original production, "Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell," which focuses on straight people in the military. This daring show sets the stage for an unexpected love story between a young man and a woman. Enter Zanna, a magical, musical fairy who, with a wave of his wand, brings true love to one and all!

Produced by James Edges, Scrooge In Rouge will play from 18-30 December, with direction by Emily Susanne Lloyd and associate direction by Liam Alexandru.

The Royal Music Hall Players face a crisis when a bout of food poisoning strikes, leaving only three actors out of 13 to carry on with their performance of “A Christmas Carol”. Undeterred, the plucky trio tackles the play with ill-fitting costumes and the challenge of having no one to play Tiny Tim... Styled after British Music Hall, Scrooge In Rouge is a riotous romp filled with bad puns, naughty double-entendres, and witty songs.
