Donmar Warehouse announces full cast for Chekhov’s THE CHERRY ORCHARD
The Donmar Warehouse have announced the full cast for Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard, in a new version and directed by Benedict Andrews, which plays at the venue from 26 April-22 June.
Joining the previously announced Nina Hoss (Notes from the Underground, Ruhrtriennale) as Liubov Ranevskaya and Adeel Akhtar (A Christmas Carol, West End) as Ermolai Lopakhin are Sarah Amankwah (Possession, Arcola Theatre) as Charlotta, Nathan Armarkwei Laryea (A Strange Loop, Barbican) as Yasha, David Ganly (Girl from the North Country, Toronto/West End) as Boris Simeonov-Pishchik, Michael Gould (King Lear, Almeida Theatre) as Gaev, Éanna Hardwicke (Attachment, Dublin Theatre Festival) as Semyon Epikhodov, Daniel Monks (The Seagull, West End) as Pyotr Trofimov, Marli Siu (The Ocean at the End of the Lane, National Theatre) as Varya, Sadie Soverall (Still Life, Edinburgh Fringe) as Anya, Posy Sterling (Dixon and Daughters, National Theatre) as Dunyasha, and June Watson (As You Like It, @sohoplace) as Firs.
The production is designed by Magda Willi, with costumes by Merle Hensel, lighting by James Farncombe, sound by Dan Balfour, composition by May Kershaw of Black Country, New Road, and casting by Anna Cooper CDG.
