Delfont Mackintosh Theatres join ATG in introducing Covid vaccination certification scheme

Prince Edward Theatre

When ATG announced that they would require audience members to show proof of Covid vaccination or a negative lateral flow test to attend a production at one of their venues, it was met with mixed reactions. However, Delfont Mackintosh Theatres have followed suit and joined the scheme.

On their website, DMT said: “As capacity restrictions are lifted, we ask that all audience members bring with them proof of double vaccination, a recent negative lateral flow test or natural immunity.”

Proof of full vaccination can be obtained through the NHS App. Others will be asked to “present proof of a negative lateral flow test”, which must have been taken within 48 hours of seeing the chosen show.

Attendees under 18 will be asked for verbal confirmation that they have not tested positive for Covid-19 and are not displaying symptoms of Covid-19.

DMT, who own eight West End theatres, are also asking audience members to wear masks whilst watching a show at one of their venues.
