Disney’s live action THE LITTLE MERMAID sets 2023 release date

A release date of 26 May 2023 has been announced for the live action film adaptation of Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

The film is directed by Rob Marshall with a script by Jane Goldman. Alan Menken and Howard Ashman's music from the popular 1989 animated movie will feature, alongside four original songs written by Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Cast members including Jude Akuwudike, Jessica Alexander, Lorena Andrea, Awkwafina, Halle Bailey, Russell Balogh, Javier Bardem, Adrian Christopher, Emily Coates, Daveed Diggs, Noma Dumezweni, Jonah Hauer-King, Jeffin Kunjumon, Melissa McCarthy, Kajsa Mohammar and Jacob Tremblay.
