Following on from our previous report about Disney’s new live action Mulan film being made available on Disney+ for a $30 premium from tomorrow, it has now been announced that the movie will be released to ALL Disney+ subscribers at no extra cost from 4 December…if you can wait that long, Besties!

If platform subscribers are eager and wish to purchase, they will be able to watch Mulan an unlimited number of times, permitting they don’t cancel their Disney+ membership.

The premium access window will close on 2 November, with a month’s gap before being made available for all subscribers.

Disney CEO, Bob Chapek, has referred to this different release method as a “one-off”, which will allow the studios to monitor subscriber patterns and customer appetites.

Release plans for Mulan on DVD/Blu-ray format are yet to be confirmed.
