Digital stage created for performers to connect with casting directors and agents
With the aim of helping drama school graduates find work amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, a brand new online platform has been launched to connect performers with agents and casting directors.
Created by actors Rob Eades and Elliot Janks, Flairbox allows actors worldwide to upload videos of themselves performing, which can then be viewed by industry professionals.
Casting directors can use the platform to send scripts and request/receive self-tape submissions, whilst agents can also use Flairbox as a tool to find new talent for their books and showcasing existing clients.
Performers can upload one video and headshot for free. For additional content, a membership can be purchased from £7.99 per month; with recent graduates receiving a 50% discount on this price. Casting directors and agents can use the platform free of charge.
The founders said: “Actors very rarely get the chance to perform in front of people that really matter. Covid has only made the problem even worse, so we felt we had to solve it by creating a ‘digital stage’.
“We were blown away by the positive feedback and knew we had to get our idea live as soon as we could.”
