Following on from yesterday's news, Danny Pino has been cast in the film adaptation of Broadway and West End musical, Dear Evan Hansen. 

He will join an all-star ensemble cast including Kaitlyn Dever, Amy Adams, Amandla Stenberg, Colton Ryan and Nik Dodani, with Ben Platt expected to reprise his award-winning performance in the title role. 

Pino will play Connor's stepfather, a role that has conceived specially for the film. He is best known for playing Miguel in Mayans M.C, with other credits including Cold Case and Law and Order: SVU. 

Stephen Chbosky will direct the film, which has a script penned by the musical's book writer, Steven Levenson, and music/lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
