Dance Umbrella announces digital programme for 2021 Hybrid Festival

DU21 Digital

Following the earlier announcement of their in-person live programme, Dance Umbrella have today revealed their digital programme of performances, conversations, films and discussions for London’s annual international dance festival.

Conceived and created by Jade Hackett, London Battle brings together exciting talent from London’s hip hop dance scene in a celebration of the capital’s dance and music culture. As a DJ plays a selection of UK’s finest beats, dancers go head to head in a variety of dance styles.

Give Them Their Flowers will see performer, actress and choreographer Jade Hackett highlighting five artists who make significant contributions to the dance world. This series of conversations will bring artists to discuss their work.

Other highlights of the digital part of the festival include Sarah Golding’s and Yukiko Masui’s SAY:AF (As Friends), Sonny Nwachukwu and Jade Hackett’s Articles, a filmed version of Dimitris Papaioannou’s NOWHERE and Choreographer’s Cut, a series of discussions on work.

This year, Dance Umbrella is launching a new Digital pass, which will allow audiences exclusive access to all of the content available for a pay-what-you-can amount (minimum £5).
