Cult classic BAT BOY: THE MUSICAL to play at the London Palladium

It has been announced that ‘Bat Boy: The Musical is to play at the London Palladium in a special concert on Halloween.

Jordan Luke Gage is set to play the transformational title role, alongside two-time Olivier nominee Victoria Hamilton-Barritt, Jodie Steele and Trevor Dion Nicholas.

This horror rock musical, which features music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe, premiered on Halloween back in 1997 and has since gone on to build a devoted following with successful runs and an addictive soundtrack.

Gage will play Edgar, a half boy/half bat creature who is discovered in a cave in a rural American town. With the help of veterinarian Dr Parker (Nicholas), his wife Meredith (Hamilton-Barritt) and their daughter Shelley (Steele) he is accepted, but secrets about his origin threaten to turn the town against him.

Bat Boy: The Musical explores themes of fear, acceptance and what it means to be ‘normal’.

Producers Chris Steward and Shanay Holmes for West End Musical Productions and director Dean Johnson promise a truthful reimagining of the musical with further cast and creatives to be announced in due course.

Bat Boy: The Musical plays at the London Palladium on 31st October.
