Little Wars, the critically acclaimed play by Steven Carl McCasland, is to return for a limited season on stream.theatre from 19 April – 16 May, due to popular demand.

Bringing together an exceptional cast: Catherine Russell, Linda Bassett, Juliet Stevenson, Debbie Chazen, Sophie Thompson, Natasha Karp and Sarah Solemani, Little Wars is a touching drama about the power of coming together for a shared cause, directed by Hannah Chissick.

Literary figureheads Gertrude Stein (Bassett) and her girlfriend Alice Toklas (Russell) are throwing a dinner party. Joining them are Dorothy Parker (Chazen), Lillian Hellmann (Stevenson), Agatha Christie (Thompson) and anti fascist freedom fighter Muriel Gardiner (Solemani). In the shadow of World War II, wine flows and secrets are shared, and the guests are close to boiling point.

Producers Thomas Hopkins and Michael Quinn of Ginger Quiff Media said: “We’re thrilled by the continually overwhelming response to this production, which showcases the talents of some incredible women. It’s been a fantastic opportunity to bring the project to life during the pandemic, and we’re pleased that more people can experience the all-star offering once again.”
