Concert staging of Sunset Boulevard to play at Alexandra Palace Theatre next month
A brand new concert production of Sunset Boulevard will be staged at Alexandra Palace Theatre on 25 October.
Produced by Quick Fantastic, the musical masterpiece by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Don Black and Christopher Hampton will be presented twice to a socially distance audience of up to 300 people per performance at the North London venue.
Starring as Norma Desmond will be Mazz Murray. She will be joined by Kayi Ushe as Joe Gillis, Laura Baldwin as Betty Schaefer, Alex Bourne as Max von Mayerling, Sharif Afifi as Artie Green, Chris Howell as Manfred/Sheldrake and David Shaw-Parker as Cecil B Demille.
Other company members include: Jordan Lee Davies, Jack Harrison-Cooper, Chloe Hart, Aimee Hodnett, Claudia Kariuki, Sejal Keshwala, Anelisa Lamola, Evie Rose Lane, Tom Partridge, Cameron Sharp and Bleu Woodward.
Accompanying the socially distanced cast will be a 24-piece orchestra, directed by Alastair Knights and conducted by Alex Parker.
The concerts will play at 3pm and 6.30pm on Sunday 25 October and tickets will go onsale at 12pm on Friday 25 September here.
