Concert celebrating Jewish music to feature song from lost musical by Lionel Bart

JMI World Tour

JMI’s World Tour: A Celebration of Jewish Music event on 11 February is set to feature Dame Maureen Lipman performing a song from the never-before-heard Lionel Bart and Roger Cook musical, Next Year in Jerusalem.

The charity concert will be hosted by BBC’s Suzy Klein, Sir Simon Schama and Lord Michael Grade and will also feature appearances by composer Claude-Michel Schonberg who will speak ahead of a performance of ‘Bring Him Home’ from Les Miserables. There will also be a rendition of Ernest Bloch’s Prayer from Nicola Benedetti.

The concert is free to watch but donations are encouraged, with 20% of them going towards supporting the work of Nightingale Hammerson, which provides residential and nursing care for older people in the Jewish community.
