Chichester Festival Theatre

Chichester Festival Theatre has announced a special Movies and Music weekend will be taking place from 28-31 August, including an outdoor concert featuring a talented line-up of West End stars.

Between 28-30 August, a drive-in cinema will be erected in Chichester’s Northgate car park and will screen classic musicals including Singin’ in the Rain, Grease and The Greatest Showman. They will also be showing Pixar’s newest family comedy release, Onward.

On 31 August, Hugh Bonneville will read popular children’s books, The Tiger Who Came To Tea and Mog the Forgetful Cat, which will be brought to life by actors with puppets. This will be performed on a raised stage adjacent to the venue with clearly marked out areas for bookers to watch the show from.

Following this, Omid Djalili will host a special concert of ‘songs from the shows’ with performances from Gina Beck, Gabrielle Brooks, Rob Houchen, Julian Ovenden, Giles Terera and CFT Artistic Director, Daniel Evans.

Tickets go on sale on 30 July and are available from https://www.cft.org.uk/
