Chelsea Halfpenny to star in UK tour of WAITRESS

West End and TV star Chelsea Halfpenny (Emmerdale, 9 to 5 The Musical) will star as Jenna later on during the UK tour of hit musical Waitress, it has been announced today.

Current Jenna, Lucie Jones will complete her time with the show on 4 December 2021 at Regent’s Theatre in Stoke, with Halfpenny putting the apron on and ‘opening up’ on 10 January 2022.

The touring production also stars Sandra Marvin as ‘Becky’, Evelyn Hoskins as ‘Dawn’, Matt Willis as ‘Dr Pomatter’, George Crawford as ‘Ogie’, Tamlyn Henderson as ‘Earl’ and Christopher D. Hunt as ‘Cal’.

Completing the company are Monique Ashe-Palmer, Amelia Atherton, Donal Brennan, Aimée Fisher, Nathanael Landskroner, Charlie Martin, Liam McHugh, Olivia Mitchell and Ben Morris.

Waitress features an all-female creative team and includes music by Sara Bareilles, a book by Jessie Nelson, direction by Diane Paulus and choreography by Lorin Latarro.
