Casting announced for West End run of OPERATION MINCEMEAT

It has been announced that David Cumming, Claire-Marie Hall, Natasha Hodgson, Jak Malone and Zoe Roberts will return to the cast of the 2023 Off-West End ‘Best Musical Production’ for the West End transfer of Operation Mincemeat, which begins on 29 March at the Fortune Theatre.

Cast members David Cumming, Natasha Hodgson and Zoe Roberts join Felix Hagan to make up SpitLip, the writers and composers of Operation Mincemeat. Full casting and creatives are to be announced shortly.

The musical is set in 1943 and we’re about to gamble all our futures on a stolen corpse in order to win the war.

Described as Singin’ in the Rain meets Strangers on a Train and Noel Coward meets Noel Fielding, it’s a fast-paced, hilarious and unbelievable true story of the secret mission that won us World War II, but how exactly did a well-dressed corpse wrong foot Hitler?

The show was commissioned by New Diorama Theatre, co-commissioned by The Lowry and supported by the Rhinebeck Writers Retreat and Avalon. Winning The Stage Debut award for Best Composer/Lyricist, the Off-West End award for Best Musical Production and Best Company Ensemble and listed in The Observers’ Top 10 and The Independent’s Top 15 shows of the year.
