Francesca Moody Productions, in association with Popcorn Group, Soho Theatre and Theatre Royal Plymouth have today announced the casting for the world premiere of MUM , written by Olivier Award-winning playwright Morgan Lloyd Malcolm (Emilia).

Sophie Melville, Denise Black and Cat Simmons will appear in this provocative and unflinching portrayal of mental health and early motherhood. The show will open at Theatre Royal Plymouth on 30 September, running until 16 October before transferring to Soho Theatre where it plays from 20 October to 20 November.

MUM is a honest and thought provoking new show that looks at early motherhood, anxiety and mental health, examining the pressures and emotions that many women experience when they have a baby. At a time when mothers have been hugely affected by the pandemic, now it is even more important to look at these issues further.
