Casting announced for Lisa MacGregor’s debut play DELIVERED

Delivered

Lisa MacGregor’s debut play Delivered, inspired by her own family’s experience of organ donation, will premiere at the Town and Gown Theatre in Cambridge from 15 November 2021, before playing a limited run in Birmingham.

Starring Jessica Melia and Adam Boyle (and directed by MacGregor), this brand-new, dark comedy follows the lives of two strangers thrown together by science, chance and a fish finger sandwich.

When Tabitha receives a liver transplant, she immediately writes to thank her donor family. With her letters left unanswered, she takes matters into her own hands, creating an algorithm to track down the family who saved her life.

“…The Transplant Co-ordinator bloke said the family didn’t want to read them. And a part of me was relieved, cus I could write all this sh*t and know that no-one would actually see it. And then I thought, what if I found them myself… wouldn’t that just be so Stacey Dooley of me?”

Will Tim return to sender, or is he ready to be delivered?

Delivered plays in Cambridge from 15-17 November (tickets available here), before moving on to the Old Joint Stock Theatre from 19-21 November (book here).
