Casting announced for GYPSY concert at Alexandra Palace

Casting for iconic musical Gypsy has been announced ahead of its one-off concert at Alexandra Palace on 21 February 2022.

Famous for its Sondheim lyrics, seven leading ladies will be sharing the role of Rose in the one-night revival. 

Stepping into the role of Rose will be Tracie Bennett, Nicola Hughes, Keala Seattle, Rebecca Lock, Samantha Spiro, Melanie La Barrie and Sally Ann Triplett. 

With music by Jule Styne and book by Arthur Laurents, accompanying the Sondheim lyrics, will be a 26-piece orchestra which will be conducted by Alex Parker and directed by Paul Foster. 

Featuring famous songs ‘Let Me Entertain You’, ‘Together, Wherever We Go’ and ‘Everything’s Coming Up Roses’, Gypsy tells the story of the most famous of Showbiz Mums.
