Casting announced for FIVE LESBIANS EATING A QUICHE at Town and Gown Cambridge
The Town and Gown have announced the cast for their first in-house production of the year, the hilarious Five Lesbians Eating a Quiche, playing from 3-13 August at the Cambridge venue, before visiting Birmingham's Old Joint Stock from 17-20 August.
The cast includes Perdita Lawson as Lulie, Florence Lace-Evans as Vern, Violeta Valverde as Wren, Eleanor Griffiths as Dale and Eleanor Thompson as Ginny.
It’s 1956 and The Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein are having their annual quiche breakfast. As the assembled “widows” await the announcement of the society’s prize-winning quiche, the atomic bomb sirens sound! How will the “widows” respond as their idyllic town and lifestyle faces attacks?
Winner of the 2012 NYC International Fringe Festival for Best Overall Production, Five Lesbians Eating A Quiche is a tasty recipe of hysterical laughs, sexual innuendoes, unsuccessful repressions, and delicious discoveries.
The show is produced by the Town and Gown Theatre, with direction by theatre manager Karl Steele.
