Casting has been today announced for Prince Andrew: The Musical, which is being televised as part of Channel 4’s 40th anniversary celebrations.

Written by Kieran Hodgson and Freddie Tapner, this hour-long show will feature seven original numbers, based on the controversies that surround Prince Andrew, King Charles’ III’s scandal-riddled younger brother.

Kieran Hodgson will play the role of Prince Andrew, with the role of Prince Charles being played by Munya Chawawa, and Jenny Bede playing the role of Andrew’s ex-wife Sarah Ferguson. Emma Sidi will play Emily Maitlis who famously interviewed Andrew in 2019.

Also appearing in the show will be drag queen Baga Chips as Margaret Thatcher, with comedian Harry Enfield as Tony Blair.

Freddie Tapner’s London Musical Theatre Orchestra will record the score with orchestrations by Simon Nathan, direction by Tom Vinnicombe and choreography by Aisling Duffy.

Prince Andrew: The Musical will be aired in December.
