Casting announced for BRIEF ENCOUNTER at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough

Casting has been announced today for Noël Coward’s Brief Encounter at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough.

Adapted for the stage by Emma Rice and directed by Paul Robinson, Brief Encounter will be a co-production with Octagon Theatre Bolton and Theatre by the Lake in Keswick.

Rice’s playful adaptation will turn Coward’s play inside out by adding musical numbers and physical comedy whilst remaining true to the classic story. The cast is comprised of Pete Ashmore, Joey Hickman, Robert Jackson, Lara Lewis, Natasha Lewis, Rishi Manuel and Anne-Marie Piazza.

Music will be provided by Alex Weatherhill and Shelagh Revell, with staging designed by Jessica Curtis.

The show will run at Stephen Joseph Theatre from 22 July-27 August, before visiting Theatre by the Lake from 14 September-8 October and Octagon Theatre from 20 October-5 November.
