Casting and Ukrainian captioned performance announced for Metta’s THE LITTLE PRINCE at Taunton Brewhouse

The award-winning Metta Theatre and Taunton Brewhouse have announced full casting for a brand-new circus musical entitled The Little Prince at the Somerset venue from 6–30 December, featuring a special Ukrainian captioned performance on 28 December.

While every performance of this festive new musical will be creatively captioned, Metta Theatre and Taunton Brewhouse have added this performance to their Christmas schedule, now on sale at a reduced rate of £15, to welcome those in the local area who may have been affected by the war in Ukraine.

Based on the much-loved story by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, the production begins with a brave pilot (Rosalind Ford) stranded in the middle of the Sahara Desert where they meet the Little Prince (Joshua Frazer), a mysterious child with far away stories to share.

These fantastical tales lead audiences on an intergalactic adventure as this unlikely pair try to find a way home in an uplifting tale of friendship and imagination complete with spectacular circus and enchanting original songs.

The cast is completed by Tilly Lee Kronick, Hazel Lam, Ben Kaufman and Freya Stokka who play a host of colourful characters – from the friendly fox to prickly rose.

Adapted for stage and directed by Metta Co-Artistic Director P Burton-Morgan, the story is brought to life with set and lighting design by Metta Co-Artistic Director William Reynolds, sound by Beth Duke and costumes by Rosalba Mensah, featuring score by Candida Caldicot and musical direction by Joseph Buckler.
